EVENT An Evening with Ann Cleeves
Haltwhistle Library: 19:30, Thu 29 Nov 2007
Hexham Book Festival and Northumberland County Libraries are delighted to invite you to an evening with Ann Cleeves to discuss her novels and the inspiration behind her books and characters. Ann has published five novels of psychological suspense - her stunning book Raven Black won her the inaugural David Lawrie Dagger in 2006 which is the biggest crime writing prize in the world. White Nights, the second in the series, will be published in April 2008.
Ann's newest book, Hidden Depths, is grounded in the details of police practice and following The Crow Trap and Telling Tales is the third book to feature Inspector Vera Stanhope.
As a member of the 'Murder Squad', Ann works with other Northern writers to promote crime fiction. She lives in Whitley Bay with her husband and has strong connections with the North East, and Northumberland in particular.
A bookstall and refreshments will be available on the evening.
This event is free, but places are limited. Please call either the Queen's Hall, Hexham, to book your place on 01434 652477 or Haltwhistle Library on 01434 320462.
